I am pleased to announce the very first public meeting of the Livewell Properties Tenants Association.
We will be meeting on Thursday July 15 @ 7:00 PM at J.C. Beemer Park - 68 Victoria Avenue North, Hamilton

Format is going to be very casual and drop-in so don't worry about getting there right on time, we just want to see you there. Consider bringing a lawn chair in case we run out of seating options at the actual park. We will also be providing some refreshments.
Coming together and standing up for our rights is how we are going to get through this historically brutal period for renters in Hamilton, particularly long-time residents in low-income areas which have suddenly become hot ticket real estate. Let's figure out how we are going to face this as neighbours. Times are uncertain and now more than ever we need people willing to stand shoulder to shoulder with each other. Come complain, commiserate, plot, plan and strategize. Meet your neighbours and hear their stories. Learn what we can do to protect ourselves and get things like crucial repairs done.
Most of all though let's just enjoy each others company and being among people who understand some of the struggles you may feel like you've been facing all alone. Because you aren't alone.
There will never be fee or anything like that for membership. All Livewell tenants, current and former are welcome. Commercial and Residential tenants are both encouraged to join us as we know of several commercial properties managed by Livewell.
Livewell management and staff are asked not to attend at this time. In the future this may change but for now we'd prefer to keep an environment where it's just the community. We want people to feel safe speaking out and we ask for respect and space to do so.
Those who attend a public meeting can get signed up for access to the tenants section of the forum.
The purpose of these meetings is to address concerns that tenants are having with the landlord/property management company, not to mediate or address issues between tenants.
Looking forward to meeting everyone and taking some control back over the future of our communities.
